The Benefit-in-Kind rules are changing for double cab pickups

The clock is ticking for UK businesses and drivers of double cab pickups like the Ford Ranger, to benefit from the current Government tax rules.

From 6 April 2025, new rules will classify most double cab pickups as cars for tax purposes. This means a higher benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax charge for vehicles purchased, leased or ordered on or after this date.

However, place your order before 5 April 2025, and you’ll benefit from the existing tax treatment until the earlier of disposal, lease expiry, or 5 April 2029.

What does this mean for you?
